Cristiano Ronaldo signs new deal ahead of Dortmund trip

Real Madrid soccer superstar
Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed a
personal endorsement deal with
Jacob & Co.
The Portuguese forward is set to
appear in a new campaign for the
New York-based watchmaker as it
moves to make him the long-term
face of its brand. The 28-year-old
will appear in a print advertising
campaign in May and make his
first public appearance for Jacob &
Co in Monte Carlo July.
"I've been a customer and fan of
the brand for a long time so it is a
natural fit," said Ronaldo. "I
always used Jacob watches, even
before I knew [founder] Jacob
[Arabo]. The brand absolutely
stands for leadership in creativity.
As a collector of the world’s finest
watches, it's obvious [to me] how
much passion Jacob & Co has for
quality."

Jacob & Co chairman Chris Del
Gatto added: "I think it signifies a
complete relaunch of Jacob & Co.
He is one of the most famous
soccer players in the world, but
more than that he's one of the
most respected athletes in the
world. He has attributes that we
really feel mirror the Jacob & Co
brand."
Ronaldo's Real Madrid side
continue their quest for a long-
desired tenth European title when
they travel to Borussia Dortmund
for the first leg of their Uefa
