Bayern boss Uli Hoeness investigated for tax evasion According to German magazine Focus, the Munich public prosecution office is looking into the 61-year-old Hoeness' financial affairs, while no details of the sums involved have been divulged.

possible tax evasion after
declaring an off-shore account in
Switzerland, it was reported on
Saturday.
According to German magazine
Focus, the Munich public
prosecution office is looking into
the 61-year-old Hoeness' financial
affairs, while no details of the
sums involved have been divulged.
"I filed a voluntary disclosure
about the account to my
accountant at the tax office in
January 2013," said Hoeness, who
has said he is working closely with
the authorities.
"I trust fully on the work of the
authorities involved in the case
and ask for there to be respectful
refrain from further enquiries," said
Hoeness.
Bayern host Barcelona in the
Champions League semi-final, first
leg on Tuesday as the German
champions bid to reach their third
European Cup final in four years.
